Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Sexual Harassment Policy

          Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment that is conducive to discipleship formation and authentic worship.  Therefore, we take the safety of our members and guests very seriously. Currently, we are following the Safe Sanctuaries policy adopted by the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2007.  Our teachers go through a screening process and training on Safe Sanctuaries practices and procedures prior to teaching or supervising children; this process includes a criminal background check.  At no point will sexual harassment of an adult or child by a parishioner, pastor, or staff member be tolerated.  If such abuse is suspected or reported, a proper investigation will be conducted by ecclesial, municipal, and/or state authorities.
